South Jersey House Fire Displaces Residents

A fire displaced residents of a home in Camden County, authorities said.

On Tuesday, June 21, at 6:47 pm, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to West Evesham Road, in the Glendora Section of Gloucester Township, for a report of a house fire.

Police found heavy smoke from the attic area of the residence. Gloucester Township Fire Departments arrived to extinguish the fire. Officers ensured that the residents and family pet were evacuated.

Gloucester Township Fire Stations Glendora Fire Department 81, Chews Landing Fire Department 82, Blenheim Fire Department 83, and Gloucester Township Squad 88 along with Runnemede Fire Department, Magnolia Fire Department, Bellmawr Fire Department, Somerdale Fire Department and Inspira EMS arrived and were able to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the home and neighboring residences.

No occupants of the home reported any injuries, but were displaced due to the fire. 

While the incident does not appear to be suspicious at this time, it is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Police Department Investigations Bureau, Gloucester Township Fire Department, and the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office.
